Job summary

SunCommon II LLC is seeking a Solar Installer to join a field crew delivering high-quality PV projects across Connecticut. You will install PV systems on ground and roof, lay out racking, mount modules, and wire components while following safety protocols and codes.

This role requires on-site work with customers, significant travel across the state, and a proactive communicator who can work well in a team and keep accurate records using Salesforce and office tools.

Qualifications

• Commitment to SunCommon's purpose and vision.
• Experience in construction, electrical and/or solar industries.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly.
• Experience operating vehicles or mechanized equipment.
• Safety-focused with knowledge of OSHA preferred.
• Strong teamwork and customer-service skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site across the region.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google, Salesforce, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Install PV systems per drawings and codes.
• Layout and install solar racking on ground and roof mounts.
• Mount and wire PV modules per design.
• Install labels on system components.
• Collaborate with installation team on projects.
• Maintain safety and quality, and support a positive team culture.
