Job description

Job Title: Solar Installer

The Solar Installer will focus on maximizing construction efforts and resource efficiency related to solar installation projects. They will travel with the crew, receive mentorship from leadership to ensure safe and standardized installation practices, and become a key member in the installation process. The role requires understanding market requirements and supporting team members as a subject matter expert.

Travel Expectation: Up to 70% of travel in and out of state is expected.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years in the solar industry (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of residential solar products (inverters, modules, etc.)
  • OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it
  • Valid US driver’s license, active for at least 4 years
  • Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past year, no more than two in the past four years)
  • Background check required

Minimum Requirements:
  • Complete solar projects promptly
  • Follow safety protocols and company guidelines
  • Provide regular updates and complete necessary paperwork daily
  • Install labels on solar system components and hardware
  • Coordinate with leadership to ensure completion of installations
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs
  • Operate hand and power tools
  • Ability to scale residential structures
  • Familiarity with technology devices (iOS and Android)
  • Reside in PA or MD and willing to travel within both states
