Job Description

Job Title: Solar Installer

PROSOLAR is seeking entry-level and experienced solar electrical system installers. Ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn all aspects of PV solar system installation.

Employee Referral Bonus Program: Refer qualified candidates; if hired, you will receive a bonus of up to $500 per hire.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Work on residential rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
2. Assess job sites, identify, and resolve potential hazards.
3. Create or interpret installation plans, outlining steps and component placement.
4. Assemble mechanical/structural mounting for racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
5. Verify structural attachment, including work in tight spaces like attics.
6. Perform electrical connections to the grid, including grounding, controls, and testing.
7. Attend mandatory training on products, methods, and safety protocols.
8. Perform PV system service as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma; two-year degree in technology or industrial arts preferred.
• 1-2 years of construction or electrical experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with mechanical installations, construction, and ladder work.
• Proficiency with hand-held and power tools.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring for AC and DC systems (preferred).
• Experience with various building materials and roof types.
• Team-oriented, communicative, and eager to learn.
• Problem-solving skills and visual thinking ability.

Working Conditions

• Primarily outdoors; weather-dependent work.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
