Job summary

Trinity Solar in Pittsburgh is seeking motivated Solar Installers to join our growing team. You will install solar PV systems on rooftops and structures, ensuring proper layout and safety compliance.

This hands-on, field-based role requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship while helping homeowners and businesses reduce energy costs and environmental impact.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical work, roofing, or solar installation preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power tools, hand tools, and basic electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights for extended periods, including climbing ladders, working on roofs, and navigating uneven surfaces.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality craftsmanship.
  • Dependable work ethic and punctuality are a must.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to travel to job sites or company office, as required.

Responsibilities

  • Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops or other structures in accordance with design schematics, local building codes, and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper system layout, orientation, and alignment for maximum efficiency and compliance.
  • Assess job site conditions for safety hazards and structural integrity before and during installation.
  • Collaborate with team members and site supervisors to resolve installation challenges and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including photos, site layouts, and installation details; submit all paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
  • Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.
