Job summary

STS seeks a Field Testing & Inspection Technician to ensure the quality, safety, and performance of photovoltaic installations through tests, inspections, and detailed reporting. You will engage with clients and coordinate with project teams on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
Proven experience in field testing, inspection, or QA of photovoltaic or renewable systems.
Strong knowledge of PV systems, energy storage, and testing methods (EL and IV).
Experience preparing technical reports and checklists for projects.
Familiarity with on-site environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct tests and trials in photovoltaic installations.
Perform visual inspections and IV curves.
Inspect equipment for quality, efficiency, and safety.
Prepare detailed technical and inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
Coordinate with project teams and suppliers; brief on inspection scope and rules.
Travel to project sites as required and ensure timelines are met.
Suggest improvements to testing methodologies and processes.
Stay updated on solar industry standards and emerging technologies.
