Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Solar Technician at the Samson Delilah Energy Center in Bogata, TX. You will assist in operating and maintaining the solar site, substations, and related equipment, ensuring reliable energy delivery and safety compliance.

This safety-sensitive role requires up to 30% travel, occasional night shifts, and outdoor work in various weather. The role offers hourly pay from $29.49 to $49.97, plus bonus potential and benefits; a high school diploma and basic technical experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year technical experience (electrical, etc.) and/or technical education.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb / work safely from a portable step ladder.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and equipment.
• Carry out vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, ground, and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of solar components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear to inspect and repair equipment.
• Work 7:00–3:30, Mon–Fri, with overtime and possible night shifts.
• Maintain tooling, facilities and a clean safe work environment.
