Job summary

Palmetto Clean Technology is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to provide onsite troubleshooting, repair, and support for residential solar and storage systems. You will collaborate with the Services team to maintain system performance and deliver excellent customer experiences across multiple areas, including installation, permitting, and closeout.

The role emphasizes field representation, safety, and reliable service with the goal of ensuring systems operate from Day 1 after activation.

Qualifications

3+ years installing, repairing, and troubleshooting residential solar & storage systems.
Must have a valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to climb ladders, rooftops and work on feet for long periods.
Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces).

Responsibilities

Provide onsite troubleshooting and repair of solar systems.
Document visit and complete job close out report.
Schedule site visits with customers as required.
Work with field teams to optimize resolution times.
Assist with close out of pre-energization issues and ensure projects are ready to operate from Day 1.
Be the Palmetto field representative delivering quality service and customer experience.
Conduct site surveys, inspections, and collect documents as needed.
