Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Site Technician to support the Power Generation Division in the Roseland, LA area. You will help operate and maintain solar PV collection assemblies, battery storage, and inverters across multiple plants, ensuring safe and efficient grid power production.

The role covers reliability engineering, inspections, and troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical systems, with duties including supervision of contractors and regional support as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in solar or electrical maintenance.
Valid driver’s license (non CDL) is required.

Responsibilities

Perform reliability engineering and preventative maintenance on solar assets.
Troubleshoot electrical and power electronics; perform repairs.
Ensure safety and environmental program stewardship at sites.
Assist with inventory management and equipment operations.
Supervise contractors and support regional teammates as needed.
Maintain regulatory compliance and asset documentation.
