ACT Power Services is hiring a Solar Maintenance Technician to perform safe, productive repairs and maintenance of Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will participate in preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production and ensure safe, reliable energy.

This entry-level position involves working outdoors at various solar facilities, learning NEC, electrical theory, and industry best practices while contributing to a cleaner energy future.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency in using power tools for repair tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities.
• Willingness to learn the NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• DC and AC testing including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, and insulation resistance testing.
• Interpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections.
• Maintain a schedule for routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of equipment at solar facilities.
