Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking a Field Performance Technician in Orlando, FL to manage and optimize warranty and service work. You will coordinate labor, lead training, and drive KPI performance in a fast-paced solar field team.

The role requires 1–3 years of field solar experience, NEC knowledge, and strong customer service and communication skills. A Journeyman license is preferred, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of field construction or solar experience required.
• PV design or PV electrical experience preferred.
• Valid state Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred; may be required by state.
• Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.
• Strong customer service track record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read single line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.

Responsibilities

• Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule.
• Allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects as needed.
• Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians.
• Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team.
• Support onboarding and training of new members of the field performance team.
• Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance KPIs including turnaround time and dispatches.
• Assist with inspections and site audits when assigned.
