Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Orange office is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join their Renewable Energy team. This is not a remote position.

The role covers design of electrical systems for solar, storage, EV charging and building electrical, with involvement in photometrics, lighting, power distribution, and construction cost estimates. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for project success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design experience in electrical engineering (building electrical, Solar PV design, or EV charging).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus).
• EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including solar, battery storage, EV charging, and building electrical systems.
• Work on a wide variety of projects including photometrics and lighting, power distribution, EV charging, and more.
• Participate on project teams in an active production role.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams on project milestones and meetings.
• Prepare project specifications and electrical construction cost estimates.
• Develop reports and design documents for electrical design plans and equipment selection.
