Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Operator to operate equipment as directed in accordance with Mortenson safety policies. The role requires operating Forklift/Telehandler and Bobcat/Skid-steer on solar projects with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will follow safety regulations, perform routine maintenance, and work in a collaborative environment with diverse teammates while ensuring clean and orderly work sites and adherence to project plans.

Qualifications

• Equipment certifications as required.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Current driver’s license and endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, depressing pedals, and maneuvering steering wheels.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift/telehandler and Bobcat/skid-steer as required by the project.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and Mortenson safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping in the assigned area.
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, fueling and cleaning.
• Observe equipment operation to detect malfunctions and report issues.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards and work with diverse teams.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
