Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Solar Operator to operate equipment per project plans and Mortenson safety policies. The role emphasizes safe operation, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to regulations on site.

You will handle equipment such as mini excavator, backhoe, trackhoe, loader, forklift/telehandler, and Bobcat/skid-steer, while maintaining housekeeping and following pre-task cards. A minimum of three years' related experience and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related experience.
• Equipment certifications as required.
• Current driver’s license with endorsements as required by law.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and load charts.
• Ability to operate equipment and perform basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area.
• Performs routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling and cleaning.
• Observes equipment operation to detect machine malfunction.
• Follows work plans and pre-task cards.
• Operates equipment based on project requirements: Mini Excavator, Backhoe, Trackhoe, Loader, Forklift/Telehandler, Bobcat/Skid-steer.
