Job summary

Avantus is seeking a Project Manager (EPC and Construction) to support day-to-day EPC team functions from early-stage development through construction and commercial operation for a portfolio of solar projects in California. The role reports to Director, EPC and Construction.

You will coordinate procurement, engineering and permitting milestones to enable project financing and successful construction. The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a detail-oriented

Qualifications

• 5 years of EPC management and contracting experience, preferably in solar development or utility infrastructure.
• 3 years experience working for a utility-scale solar developer or an IPP.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across various design and construction phases.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate EPC contracting and bid processes.
• Own overall RFP schedule and accuracy of EPC responses.
• Ensure site safety is prioritized and manage cost/schedule risks.
• Act as day-to-day project lead representing Avantus.
• Maintain project cashflow and reporting to lenders/sponsors.
• Travel to job sites and offices as necessary.
