Job summary

Pure Power is seeking an engineering student for a summer internship to design commercial PV solar systems from 100 kW to 20 MW and to integrate energy storage solutions. You will prepare construction documents in AutoCAD and handle interconnection and permit applications.

The role includes site data collection and PVsyst analysis with occasional travel, based from our Denver office in a hybrid schedule. The position runs from June to August 2027, offering hands‑on experience in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with AutoCAD.
• Previous internship in traditional building design with an MEP firm.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer commercial PV solar systems between 100kW and 20MW.
• Integrate energy storage systems into the solar PV system.
• Develop construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Develop specifications, collect data, and complete interconnection and permit applications.
• Travel to project sites to gather data as needed.
• Site-specific production analysis of PV arrays using PVsyst.
• Occasional travel; primarily work from Pure Power offices with hybrid schedule.

Pure Power is seeking an engineering student to design commercial and utility scale solar PV systems starting in June 2027.

Duration

This internship position runs from early June to end of August.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer commercial PV solar systems between 100kW and 20MW in size.
• Integrating energy storage systems into the solar PV system.
• Develop construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Develop specifications, collect data, and complete utility interconnection applications and building permit applications.
• Travel to project sites from time to time to gather site-specific data, as required.
• Site specific production analysis of PV arrays using models such as PVsyst.
• While most of this work will be carried out in Pure Power’s office location(s) some travel to sites will be expected.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other related discipline.
• 1+ years’ experience working with AutoCAD.
• Previous internship in traditional building design with an MEP firm.

Location

This position will be based out of our exciting Denver office with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule.

Salary Range

$21-30.00/Hour
