Job summary

Climate Imperative is seeking a Project Manager for the U.S. Electricity team to drive grantmaking, stakeholder coordination, and policy-focused program delivery aimed at accelerating emissions reductions in the power sector.

You will collaborate with policymakers, NGOs, and technical experts to move complex initiatives forward, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management, policy, climate, or energy-related work.
  • Understanding of the power sector and decarbonization strategies.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
  • Strong ownership and execution discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of strategic initiatives focused on electricity sector decarbonization.
  • Manage grantmaking processes, partner coordination, and performance tracking.
  • Work with policymakers, NGOs, and technical experts to advance climate policies.
  • Support development of strategy, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate across internal teams and external partners for alignment.
  • Track progress, risks, and opportunities across ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to reporting, insights, and continuous improvement.
