Job summary

L&R DISTRIBUTORS is seeking an Electrician in Miami to install, service, and repair electrical and solar systems, ensuring installations meet drawings, specifications, and NEC standards.

Responsibilities include configuring, assembling, and testing systems, working with a helper, and adhering to safety regulations; candidates should have a diploma or apprenticeship in electrical fields and be willing to travel and work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• An apprenticeship or formal electrical program is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical construction and concepts; ability to read blueprints and solar diagrams.
• OSHA 10-hour certification a plus.
• NFPA 70E certification a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Configures, installs, inspects and maintains electrical and solar systems per drawings, specs and manuals.
• Install brackets, hangers, conduits, wire and electrical equipment with an electrician helper; connect wires to components.
• Follow safety codes including NEC and Local State Regulations.
• Perform system commissioning: visual and electrical testing; diagnose malfunctions.
• Prepare sketches to determine equipment locations and wiring per codes.
• Identify risks and conduct safety hazard analyses; mitigate hazards.
• Participate in meetings and training as required.
