Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a skilled Electrician to support the Hollis Creek project site. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for large-scale solar energy projects, with no company vehicle driving required.

The position requires an accredited electrician apprenticeship, a valid license, and at least 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably solar. Strong blueprint reading and adherence to NEC standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
• Valid Electrician license or certification as required by state and local regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably within the renewable energy sector (solar experience highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, principles, and codes (NEC, local codes).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, fixtures, and control devices for solar arrays and associated infrastructure.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts and system requirements.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Connect electrical equipment to power circuits and ensure proper grounding.
• Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and panels, for hazards and defects, and recommend or initiate repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other trades and project team members to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Operate various electrical hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
