Job summary

Sunrun Inc. is seeking a Certified Electrician 1 to work on solar installations, mentor other electricians, and learn about energy storage and new technologies.

You will lead residential electrical work, interconnect to the grid, and ensure high workmanship tied to NEC and local codes. The role requires a valid Journeyman license, a year of solar electrical experience, and the ability to travel up to 5% to support projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year solar electrical installation and repair experience required.
• Experience with wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC.
• Experience replacing residential services and distribution panels.
• Must possess Journeyman License/Electrician Certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation of electrical systems interconnecting solar arrays to the grid.
• Ensure workmanship meets NEC and local codes.
• Complete solar battery installations as assigned.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and plan upgrades.
• Mentor other electricians and train on Sunrun best practices.
• Work with licensed inspectors and crew members as SME.
• Support system upgrades/repairs and travel up to 5%.
