Job summary

AGT is hiring Full Time Laborers and Helpers in Tampa, FL to support electrical teams on commercial and industrial solar projects. The role involves handling wiring tasks, conduit work, and assisting electricians on site.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years of related experience; a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment drug testing are required. The position is full-time and onsite with safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• 1–2 years of on-the-job training in a similar role preferred.
• Prior electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks electrical units for loose connections.
• Measures and cuts wires and conduits.
• Drills holes for electrical hook-ups.
• Assists electrician by providing tools as needed.
• Supports daily power down of project and storage of electrical equipment; follows safety protocols.

Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education

Experience

• 1 to 2 years on the job training in a similar role
• Prior electrical experience preferred

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 60 ft tall
• Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
• Ability to decipher between different colors of wiring
• Ability to use basic electrical hand tools (pliers, electrician scissors, wire strippers, etc)
• Ability to use electrical equipment like thermal scanners, circuit tracers and multimeters
