Job summary

Sunrun Installation Services Inc. is seeking an Electrical Trainee to support Foreman and Electricians in residential solar projects. You will assist in electrical installation, wiring, and equipment assembly while maintaining safety and quality standards on site.

The role emphasizes hands-on tasks, teamwork with Lead Installers, and adaptation across different crews. Opportunities for growth exist within Sunrun’s Power+ program and field operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experience.
• Knowledge of NEC and applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to perform all installation duties of Installer/Lead Installer.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills (Excel/Word).
• Willingness to cross-train to support other departments.
• Valid driver’s license; 5% travel.
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing electrical systems interconnecting solar array to the grid.
• Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues.
• Assemble racking and solar array.
• Trenching, concrete work and equipment assembly.
• Project clean-up and client site maintenance.
• Maintain safety, quality, customer service, and productivity.
