Job summary

Burns & McDonnell's Power global practice seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to world‑class solar power generation designs for new projects. You will join project teams through design and construction, adapting electrical plans to budget, design factors and client requirements.

The Staff Electrical Engineer will collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, perform field inspections, and act as a field engineer on construction sites while ensuring compliance with policies and

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited or related degree with required experience.
  • FE exam or PE license encouraged, EIT preferred.
  • Experience in detailed electrical design for utility-scale solar.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient with standard engineering software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical design from conceptual to design completion.
  • Modify and review electrical drawings.
  • Model systems with ETAP/SKM for reports and analysis.
  • Coordinate with authorities on permitting.
  • Act as field engineer on construction sites.
  • Prepare client presentations and other contract documents.
