About the role

We're looking for a Solar Construction Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 2-month contract assignment (W-2). You will need to be familiar with NYSERDA and EPC project management. Location: Avon, NY 14414. Per diem available. You will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Management with overseeing ground-mounted system installation and coordinating with contractors to ensure adherence to local Avon, NY solar regulations.
• Grid Interconnection: manage technical aspects of connecting high-capacity solar systems with the Solar Farm.
• Handle project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team member communication from development through commissioning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with technical installation on commercial solar systems.
• Strong ability to read and understand solar energy system drawings and schematics.

Helpful Qualifications

• A two- or four-year Technical Degree.
• Experience with Helioscope or similar solar design software.
• Background managing commercial solar projects from 50 kW to 1.5 MW scale.
• Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting.

Pay and Benefits

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
