About the Role

We are looking for a Solar Construction Project Manager for a 2‑month contract assignment (W‑2) at our client site in Avon, NY 14414. The role requires familiarity with NYSERDA and EPC project management. Per diem is available. The candidate will report to the onsite manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site operations for ground‑mounted system installation and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with local solar regulations.
• Oversee grid interconnection, including technical aspects of connecting high‑capacity solar systems to the Solar Farm.
• Handle project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and team communication from development through commissioning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with technical installation on commercial solar systems.
• Strong ability to read and understand solar energy system drawings and schematics.

Helpful Qualifications

• A two‑ or four‑year technical degree.
• Experience with Helioscope or similar solar design software.
• Background managing commercial solar projects from 50 kW to 1.5 MW scale.
• Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and AHJ permitting.
