Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Construction Performance Engineer to drive data-informed decisions across utility-scale solar construction projects. This role focuses on improving productivity, cost and schedule performance for field teams.

You will develop real-time dashboards, track labor metrics, and apply Earned Value Management principles to strengthen project controls and enable proactive risk mitigation on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, project controls, estimating, scheduling, or project management.
• Experience performing data analysis using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
• Experience interpreting construction or project data to support decision making.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Analyze construction performance data to identify productivity trends, risks, and opportunities across utility-scale solar projects.
• Develop and deliver actionable reporting and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into installation progress, productivity, labor performance, and project execution.
• Track labor productivity, installation rates, labor costs, and workforce utilization across subcontracted and self-perform scopes to support informed decision-making.
• Ensure accurate labor charging, timekeeping, progress tracking, and project data integrity to strengthen cost and performance visibility.
• Build forecasts and predictive analytics that identify emerging schedule, productivity, staffing, and cost risks, enabling proactive mitigation.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to evaluate cost and schedule performance and support project controls activities.
• Conduct time studies, workflow assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to identify inefficiencies and drive productivity gains.
• Partner with project management, construction, field engineering, and project controls teams to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and operational transparency.
• Train and coach field personnel on productivity measurement, reporting tools, and performance management best practices.
• Standardize performance reporting processes and best practices to drive consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across projects.
