Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Civil Designer - Earthwork Focused to support utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects across North America. Location options include Bedminster, NJ, Katy, TX, or Pleasanton, CA with a hybrid schedule (onsite Monday-Thursday, remote Friday).

You will refine site layouts, produce civil deliverables, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective solutions for project execution and constructability

Qualifications

• AutoCAD drafting experience with sheet-set manager, blocks, and x-references.
• Civil 3D civil design experience.
• Understanding of general drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil designs for utility-scale solar projects, including conceptual, preliminary, and final designs.
• Apply site grading, road layout, mass grading, earthwork calculations, stormwater, and erosion control standards.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical teams to integrate site infrastructure with solar system design.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure design requirements are reflected in drawing packages.
• Manage day-to-day workflow across multiple development projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for large-scale site modeling, grading, and earthwork takeoffs.
• Resolve design challenges while meeting technical and client requirements.
• Extract points and surfaces for field use during construction.
• Analyze contours and topo data to produce preliminary grading surfaces.
• Review reliance documents to develop base files for drawing packages.
