Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Civil Designer - Earthwork Focused to develop detailed earthwork grading plans and site infrastructure for utility-scale solar and energy storage across North America. You will collaborate with civil and cross-functional teams to refine layouts, produce deliverables, and ensure constructability and cost-effectiveness.

Hybrid role with on-site work in Pleasanton, CA, Katy, TX or Bedminster, NJ, offering exposure to large-scale solar

Qualifications

AutoCAD drafting experience including sheet-set manager, blocks and x-references.
Civil 3D civil design experience.
Understanding of general drafting standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed civil designs for utility-scale solar projects.
Apply site grading, road layout, mass grading, earthwork calculations, stormwater management.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate site infrastructure with solar design.
Coordinate with engineers to ensure design requirements are represented in the drawing package.
Manage day-to-day workflow across multiple development projects.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for large-scale site modeling, grading, and earthwork takeoffs.
Resolve design challenges creatively and efficiently, meeting technical and client requirements.
Extract points, surfaces, and drawing metadata for field use during construction.
Analyze contours and topographic data to produce preliminary grading surfaces.
Review reliance documents to assist in development of base files for drawings.
