Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Civil Designer - Earthwork Focused to support utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects across North America.

Location options include Katy, TX; Bedminster, NJ; or Pleasanton, CA, with a hybrid schedule (onsite Mon–Thu, remote Fri). You will refine site layouts and deliver earthwork grading plans, drainage, and access roads in collaboration with civil, structural, and electrical teams.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD drafting experience including sheet-set manager, blocks and x-references.
• Civil 3D civil design experience.
• Understanding of general drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil designs for utility-scale solar projects: conceptual, preliminary and final.
• Apply site grading, road layout, mass grading and stormwater standards.
• Collaborate with civil, structural and electrical teams to integrate site infrastructure.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure design requirements are reflected in drawings.
• Manage day-to-day workflow across multiple development projects.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for large-scale site modeling, grading and earthwork takeoffs.
• Extract points and surfaces for field use during construction.
• Analyze contours and topographic data to produce preliminary grading surfaces.
