Job summary

VetJobs seeks a Solar Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets in a hybrid role based in Austin, Denver, or San Francisco.

You will coordinate internal teams, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant operation and maximize financial performance.

Candidates should have experience in asset management, project finance, and contract administration; the role offers cross-functional collaboration across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership of the asset portfolio, including monthly variance analysis, revenue tracking, and cost control.
• Manage tax equity investor relationships and reporting requirements, including flip model tracking and sponsor equity distributions
• Oversee debt compliance, including liquidity forecasting, reserve account funding, and debt service coverage monitoring.
• Forecast and manage liquidity needs across project entities, ensuring adequate working capital and alignment with distribution schedules.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports for internal leadership, tax equity investors, and lenders.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax return preparation, and investor reporting with accounting and legal teams.
• Approve invoices and monitor unbudgeted or non-recurring expenses to ensure alignment with budget and financial targets.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including offtakers, utilities, maintenance contractors, and service providers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and execution of contractual obligations.
• Conduct risk assessments across contracts and commercial operations, identifying exposure and recommending mitigations.
• Drive portfolio value optimization through variance analysis, renegotiation opportunities, and proactive contract management.
