Job summary

Cypress Creek Renewables in Durham, NC is seeking a dedicated Array Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and respond to corrective maintenance on solar PV systems. This travel-based role requires up to 100% travel with home base in Durham and site deployments across projects.

You will diagnose issues, perform I-V testing, maintain safety protocols, and document service reports while supporting a growing solar development company focused on safe, reliable energy delivery.

Qualifications

• Diagnostics capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found
• Ability to read electrical single-line and three-line diagrams
• Proficiency with MS Office suite
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight
• Valid Driver's License
• OSHA 10 HR Training
• NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in workplace
• Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities
• DC and AC testing including polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing
• Maintaining the vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock
• Creating service reports and maintaining spare parts inventory
• Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards
• Create operability and major issue/downtime reports
