Job summary

Rain seeks a seasoned Solana and Rust engineer in New York to design, build, and maintain Solana programs and backend services that interface with EVM and Stellar. You will scale on‑chain infrastructure to handle millions of users and drive real‑time processing across multiple chains.

The role covers end‑to‑end ownership, shaping the technical roadmap, and shipping capabilities quickly for customers. Remote/hybrid options are available with US flexibility.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the Solana ecosystem, programming model and tooling.
• Strong proficiency in Rust.
• Solid understanding of security patterns in smart contracts.
• Experience with Node.js and backend systems.
• 2–10+ years of engineering experience; compensation will be calibrated accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Solana programs end-to-end — from development through deployment and maintenance.
• Build robust, scalable backend services that interact with Solana, EVM, and Stellar networks.
• Scale on-chain infrastructure to support millions of users globally — powering transactions, data ingestion, and real-time processing.
• Play a central role in shaping the technical and product roadmap.
• Drive architectural decisions in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving product.
• Ship new capabilities quickly and iteratively to our customers.
