Job summary

Veda is hiring a Backend Engineer focused on Solana to design, build, and secure DeFi products, bridging on‑chain programs with robust backend systems. You will own features end‑to‑end, integrating external DeFi protocols and ensuring production readiness.

You will work across security, testing, and operations, collaborating with product, research, and partners to continuously improve scalability and reliability of the Solana platform.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Rust for security‑critical systems.
• Deep knowledge of Solana and the SVM architecture.
• Experience building Solana programs and backend services/SDKs.
• Experience designing/operating production APIs in Python or TypeScript.
• Strong DeFi fundamentals (vaults, lending, trading, liquidity).
• Security-minded with incident response experience.
• Extensive testing across unit/integration/end-to-end with external dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Solana programs and backend services powering Veda’s DeFi products.
• Own features end-to-end from design to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Integrate third-party DeFi protocols and manage evolving integrations.
• Build reliable APIs, data pipelines, SDKs, and internal tools.
• Design for security and correctness with proper access control and recovery.
• Improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience of the Solana platform.
• Develop automated tests and participate in security reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and external partners; document decisions.
