Job summary

Temporal is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure for its low-latency systems, including Solana validator infrastructure and trading systems. You will develop internal Rust libraries for logging, metrics, secrets, and configuration, and manage a bare-metal fleet end-to-end.

The role emphasizes high autonomy and accountability with direct production access. Location is NYC preferred or US remote, with a base salary range of $200,000 to $350,000 plus equity and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Rust and crate API design.
• Experience building internal libraries or platform APIs used by engineers.
• Deep Linux and networking fundamentals; production bare-metal ops experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the internal Rust libraries every service imports: logging, metrics, tracing, secret access, and configuration.
• Build policy enforcement in front of signing and key access with auditable records.
• Own platform end to end: provisioning, configuration, secrets, delivery, observability, and on-call.
• Make host configuration reproducible across a multi-region bare-metal fleet.
