Job summary

State of Ohio in Marietta is seeking a Transportation technician to travel statewide operating LoDril rig and other heavy equipment. The role includes installing piling to stabilize terrain, excavating and grading ditches, and performing emergency response and cleanup.

Candidate must have safe operation of heavy equipment, a valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement during probation, and will be subject to background checks and drug testing under the OCSEA/AFSCME contract; overtime eligibility

Qualifications

• 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in operation of heavy earth drilling equipment (e.g., truck mounted earth auger, hollow stem auger, drive rod equipment, high speed wire-line core drill, front end loader, drag line crane, backhoe or earth mover) & related safety practices; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• You will travel throughout the State to operate LoDril rig & other heavy equipment.
• Install piling to stabilize terrain & prevent slips.
• Excavate & grade ditches.
• Performs emergency response & clean up.
