Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is offering an engineering internship for college students in Electrical Engineering. The program provides real work experience, mentorship, and exposure to upper management with potential full-time opportunities.

You will assist in RF/analog design, run simulations, and help validate silicon designs in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with strong RF coursework.
• GPA of at least 3.0 and solid analog/RF design foundation.
• Proficiency with RF CAD tools and lab data interpretation.
• Effective written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the design of RF blocks including LNA and RF switches.
• Generating and simulating HFSS models for silicon design integration.
• Meeting performance targets while balancing size, cost, and schedule.
• Collaborating on schematics, simulations, and lab data with teammates.
• Using signal generators and analyzers to compare simulations with lab data.

Skyworks' Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program. Skyworks offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full time opportunities, as available.

Responsibilities

• Contributingto the design of multiple functional blocks including LNA andRF Switches using SOI and CMOS
• Generatingand simulatingEM models in HFSS for silicon design integration and validation
• Meetingperformance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule
• Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
• Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data

Required Experience and Skills

• Currently pursuing anMSor PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Analog/RF circuit design coursework and/or experience
• Software exposure: Cadence, ADS orAWR, FEM or HFSS
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Self-Starter with good communication skills
• Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
• Strong writtenand verbal communication skillsto conveycomplex technical information
• Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
• Ability to enjoy working in fast paced work environment

Desired Experience and Skills

• Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $23.00 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
