Job summary

Systematix is seeking a Software Verification Specialist to join our client’s Product Development team on a contract basis. This role suits someone with a scientific background and hands-on laboratory experience who is passionate about software quality at the intersection of science and technology.

You will plan, execute, and document verification activities across the software lifecycle, collaborating with developers, scientists, and product designers to deliver robust analytical software for

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or another scientific discipline.
• 2+ years of laboratory method development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Mass Spectrometry instrumentation desirable.
• 1+ years of experience with LC systems.
• Experience designing test cases from lab workflows.
• Hands-on software testing experience including regression and exploratory testing.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, XP, or TDD environments is a plus.
• Omics applications exposure (proteomics/metabolomics/genomics) desirable.
• Ability to learn new lab hardware and software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Verify software products meet functional and business requirements.
• Translate requirements into verification scenarios and test cases.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test suites.
• Perform regression, exploratory, system, performance, and acceptance testing.
• Maintain verification traceability between requirements and test cases.
• Track progress, risks, and issues; communicate findings to developers.
