Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a senior leader to drive software quality and testing for AutoChem software products that control laboratory instrumentation. You will lead the U.S.-based testing team, coordinate with offshore resources, and shape QA practices aligned with the PLM framework.

You will guide manual, exploratory, functional, regression, and integration testing, manage the Testing Lab, and partner with global R&D to balance automation and hardware-integrated testing within an Agile

Qualifications

• Experience leading a U.S.-based software testing team.
• Functional leadership for offshore testing resources.
• Establish and improve QA practices aligned with the METTLER TOLEDO PLM framework.
• Lead risk-based manual, exploratory, functional, regression, system, and integration testing.
• Oversee the Software Testing Lab, environments, and readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate quality in the Agile lifecycle.
• Align with global R&D on testing priorities and release goals.
• Partner to implement automation strategy and balance testing types.
• Establish quality metrics and defect-management practices.
• Assess release readiness and communicate risks and status.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the U.S.-based Software Testing team, including performance management and hiring.
• Provide functional leadership for offshore testing resources and coordinate priorities.
• Establish and continuously improve software quality assurance practices and standards.
• Lead risk-based testing across manual, exploratory, functional, regression, system, and integration scopes.
• Oversee the Software Testing Lab, test environments, and readiness.
• Collaborate with PMs, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to embed quality in the Agile process.
• Maintain alignment with global R&D on testing practices and release objectives.
• Support automation initiatives to balance automated and manual testing.
