Job summary

Staffmark Group in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Tester to perform on-site mobile app testing and firmware validation. You will collaborate with developers and QA across teams, design and execute test cases, and ensure quality from design to maintenance.

The role focuses on Android/iOS platforms, manual and automated testing, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of mobile software or QA testing experience.
• Strong understanding of Android OS platforms and device ecosystems.
• Ability to perform manual and automated testing.
• Experience with test management tools (ADB, Jira, TestRail) preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Detect, track, and document software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies.
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile apps and system features.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports and feedback to the development team.
• Validate firmware, connectivity (Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G), and hardware interactions.
• Conduct manual and automated testing as per defined procedures and quality criteria.
• Perform testing throughout all phases of the mobile software life cycle - design, develop, test, release, and maintenance.

Position Summary
