Caterpillar is seeking a Software Test & Validation Engineer for the Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) joint venture. You will join an international team providing internal verification and validation for CTCT products, closely coordinating with Caterpillar and Trimble teams to deliver high-quality earthmoving solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, collaboration, and implementing new technologies to improve reliability and efficiency across manufacturing and product

Qualifications

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in software test validation in devices or machines.
• Earthmoving machine or industry knowledge.
• Grade control experience or similar machine control technology experience preferred.
• Software development experience using Python, MATLAB, Java etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifying and validating CTCT products through hardware/software tests across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborating with product/project teams to ensure high-quality, reliable test procedures.
• Planning and improving testing procedures and operations for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Monitoring results and performance to ensure manufacturing readiness and design acceptance.
