Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Tester to own opportunities and help ensure mission continuity. You will apply the latest technology to deliver actionable intelligence and support to the Intelligence Community, delivering impactful results daily.

You will be trusted to solve complex IT issues while providing outstanding customer service as part of a team with mission-critical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience) required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience testing web-based applications using Java/J2EE.
• Test automation experience with Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
• ISTQB Certified Tester (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure QA standards in a large computer-based organization.
• Develops and executes software test plans to identify software problems and causes.
• Establishes and maintains evaluation processes for hardware, software and documentation.
• Conducts formal and informal reviews at predefined points in the development life cycle.

HOW THE TESTER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Develops and implements quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in a large computer-based organization.
• Develops and executes software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.
• Establishes and maintains a process for evaluating hardware, software, and associated documentation and/or assists in the evaluation.
• Conducts and/or participates in formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the development life cycle.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• Required Experience: 6+ years of relevant experience
• Required Technical Skills:
• Documented experience working with GitHub, JIRA and Confluence.
• Recommended Skills and Abilities:
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience testing web-based applications developed using technologies such as: Java or J2EE.
• Demonstrated on-the-job test automation or software development experience with at least two automated test tool (Selenium web driver preferred, similar tools accepted).
• Building and Maintaining Frameworks
• Recommended Certifications:
• ISTQB Certified Tester
• SAFe for Teams
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• Location: Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
