Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking a senior Software Engineer 3 Tester in Annapolis Junction, MD to lead automated testing for complex C++ software and high-throughput test environments.

You will modernize CI/CD pipelines, build robust Python/Shell test scripts, and oversee QA across multi-functional teams, coordinating with hardware engineers on SDRs and enterprise servers to meet strict performance and interface specs. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 15 years of software engineering experience on programs of similar scope and complexity, OR 19 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in C++, with Python and Shell scripting capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience modernizing CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated continuous testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and execute comprehensive automated testing suites and frameworks for complex C++ applications.
• Modernize and maintain CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated build processes and continuous testing workflows.
• Write robust test automation scripts and utilities using Python and Shell scripting.
• Validate software interfaces and integration points against hardware test environments including SDRs and lab servers.
• Analyze requirements to derive detailed software design and performance testing criteria.
• Debug existing code, identify root causes, and implement effective remediations.
• Lead software test efforts and oversee QA across multi-functional teams.
