Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors in North Alabama is hiring Software Test Engineers at multiple levels to join our Sensor Research and Analysis Division. You will design, document, and execute test procedures for real-time software and simulations, building meaningful test scenarios and communicating results effectively.

Candidates should have a CS/SE degree (ABET) with 2–4 years (or a CS/SE MS with <2 years), experience with GitLab and Red Hat Linux, and knowledge of SAFe Agile methods within a technical environment. U.S. citizenship with an active DoD secret clearance and onsite residency in North Alabama are required.

Qualifications

BS in CS or SE or ABET-accredited equivalent plus 2–4 years in design, development, and testing of real-time software and simulations
MS in CS or SE or ABET-accredited equivalent with less than 2 years in design, development, and testing of real-time software and simulations
Experience with GitLab/Git
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodologies in technical/engineering environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
US citizenship with active DoD Secret clearance
Residency in North Alabama for onsite support

Responsibilities

Design, document, and execute test procedures to verify requirements/features
Build complex, meaningful test scenarios for modeling and simulation–based systems
Capture and communicate test results clearly and effectively
Collaborate with stakeholders and Government customers to verify requirements
Work as part of an Agile team and participate in all Agile ceremonies, including PI planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
