Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking a motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co-op to participate in the Software Test lifecycle.

You will work with development teams to drive defects to closure and learn to develop automated and manual test plans, focusing on functional, negative, regression, performance, and usability testing. You will gain exposure to Linux/Windows environments and test across features such as dGPU/APU, and operating systems.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a US-based university in a bachelor’s degree program (CSE/EE/CS or related).
• Experience with software quality analysis processes and testing methodologies is a plus.
• Exposure to Linux/Windows environments and basic debugging is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing automated and manual test plans and test cases.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tests and projects concurrently.
• Reproduce, troubleshoot, triage defects, and track them to closure.
• Create test cases/plans for new features and operating systems (Linux/Windows).
• Share ideas to improve testing processes and metrics.
