Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) is seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. You will participate in different phases of the Software Test lifecycle and work closely with development teams to drive defects to closure.

The role trains you to develop and execute automated and manual tests, build Test Plans, and triage issues. You will gain exposure to Linux/Windows environments, gaming graphics tech, and upcoming GPU/APU features.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a US-based university in a bachelor's degree program (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related).
Knowledge of software quality analysis process and methodology.
Experience with PC configuration; troubleshooting and PC architecture is a plus.
Programming/scripting in Python, VBA, C++, Selenium framework.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and executing automated and manual Test Plans/Test Cases across test strategies (Functional, Negative, Regression, Performance, Usability).
Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent testing tasks and projects.
Reproduce, triage, and report defects to drive to closure.
Create Test Case/Plan for new features, products (GPU/CPU) and OS (Linux/Windows).
Collaborate with team to identify metrics for QA processes.
