Job Responsibilities

1. Develop test requirements for software programs.
2. Design, develop, deploy, and execute manual and automated test scripts.
3. Create automated testing frameworks for software programs.
4. Update and maintain documentation related to testing.
5. Utilize software to understand product functionalities.
6. Define and execute test scenarios.
7. Analyze test data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
8. Collaborate with engineering to debug software issues using test data.
9. Research advancements in engineering design, methods, and applications.
10. Assist in training related to new or existing testing methods.
11. Automate test scripts and integrate them into the software build process.
12. Maintain cross-platform test automation scripts and the functional test portion of the CI pipeline.
13. Develop and maintain BDD scenarios and regression plans.
14. Participate in the entire test development lifecycle, including requirements analysis and design.
15. Work with developers to troubleshoot failed test cases and debug issues.
16. Develop and execute various test cases including Unit, Sanity, Smoke, Integration, and Regression tests.
17. Write complex API tests interfacing with services or databases.

Compensation

The annual salary ranges from $83,375 to $112,500 plus applicable bonuses. Actual salaries depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field with at least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Java for at least 2 years.
• Ability to apply design theory and methodology.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Software Test Engineer, Developer, or SDET.
• Experience in test script development using RESTful services automation, with strong Python scripting skills.
• Knowledge of test plan development, automation tools, and frameworks.
• Experience with Software Configuration Management tools like GIT, GERRIT, SVN, or ClearCase.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Low-Level Drivers, CAN protocol, and CAPEL scripting.
• Familiarity with CANoe tool.
• Experience in Embedded Automation and developing automated tests with QT Squish.
