Job summary

Rose International is seeking a QA Tester in the St. Louis area to plan and execute manual tests across multiple applications and digital journeys. You will review requirements, design test cases, and perform end-to-end testing to ensure quality across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, strong defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. On-site role with standard business hours in Missouri.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on manual software testing or Quality Assurance (QA) experience.

Responsibilities

• Manual Test Planning & Execution
• Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs to determine appropriate test coverage.
• Develop and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing.
• Validate business rules, application behavior, data flows, and customer journeys.
• Identify and prepare appropriate test data and test conditions.
• Maintain reusable manual regression test suites for assigned products.
• Communicate testing progress, results, risks, and release-readiness concerns.
• Defect Management
• Identify, document, and track application defects through resolution.
• Create clear defect documentation, including steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, and supporting evidence.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and vendors to reproduce and troubleshoot defects.
• Retest resolved defects and perform appropriate regression testing.
• Distinguish application defects from requirements gaps, data issues, configuration issues, and expected system behavior.
• End-to-End Digital Testing
• Manually validate complete customer and co-worker journeys across applicable digital channels.
• Test interactions and data flows across multiple applications and system integration points.
• Validate positive, negative, boundary, and exception scenarios rather than testing only expected scenarios.
• Identify inconsistencies in functionality, business rules, content, navigation, and customer experience.
• Ensure changes to one area of a digital experience do not negatively affect existing functionality.
• Agile Product Delivery
• Work as an embedded member of an Agile product team.
• Participate in refinement, planning, demonstrations, and other applicable team activities.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria early to identify gaps, ambiguity, and scenarios requiring clarification.
• Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are clear and testable.
• Coordinate testing activities with development and release schedules.
• Support production release validation and post-deployment testing.
• Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
