Qualifications

• 8+ years working with Java (8 to 21) and Spring Framework/Spring Boot.
• 8+ years in web applications development, web services, REST API, etc.
• 5+ years in Messaging Queues and Caching (Kafka/Redis).
• 5+ years in Angular 21.
• 8+ years with relational databases like Oracle.
• 5+ years using JUnit and Playwright.
• 1+ years with AI - Prompts/Skills/MCP.
• 5+ years in SCRUM teams.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate/JPA, messaging queues, and caching.
• Advanced skills in Angular (21), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Job description

Candidate must be a resident local to Madison or near the Madison office, or willing to relocate to Madison prior to starting the role at their own expense. The selected hire can work 100% remote from within the Madison area but must be available to come into the office if needed. Candidate must be relocated 1 month after Hire Date. Two Round Interview Process. Both rounds will be In-person interviews only.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java (8 to 21)-based backend applications, ensuring high performance and scalability


• Unit test and code coverage using Junit


• Good working experience using spring boot, messaging queues, caching and having good experience using Kafka, Redis and or equivalent tools


• Develop and maintain Angular (21)-based front-end user interfaces with a focus on responsiveness, usability, and ADA/WCAG compliance


• Unit tests using PlayWright


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, and APM/QA engineers, to gather and implement requirements


• Create and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend systems


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring system reliability and robustness


• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Java and Angular development


• Have good experience doing code reviews and contribute to code quality and standards to ensure high-quality product delivery


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment


• Experience using AI(Prompts/Skills/MCP) to speed up development process
