Job summary

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a Crete United Company, is seeking a Software Technician to lead programming logic development for automation projects in the Controls division.

This role requires expertise in Building Automation backed by at least five years of experience and the ability to mentor junior technicians. The Software Technician will engage with various BAS protocols, conduct training, and operate different tools on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ experience in Building Automation.
• Mastery of responsibilities from previous Software Technician levels.
• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
• Must be 21 years and possess a valid driver’s license.

Job description

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a Crete United Company specializes in Building Automation and Temperature Controls and was founded in November of 2007. CSI has a wealth of experience and skills that earned a remarkable reputation as a leading controls solutions company.

The Software group is responsible for the development and implementation of the programming logic for building automation projects within the Controls division. The Software Technician will act as project lead for the Software efforts on each project that they are directly assigned or as a resource under the supervision of a senior software technician.

Software Technician will possess the knowledge, expertise, and ability to train and mentor junior techs within the Software group to support the growth and development of the company.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field is a plus
• Five or more years’ experience working within the Building Automation industry
• Mastery of all responsibilities expected of each previous Software Technician level (I, II)
• Experience of implementing building automation solutions and writing software code
• Niagara AX/N4 certification is a plus
• Knowledge of various BAS protocols (ie: BACnet, LONworks, Modbus, etc)
• Knowledge of ethernet networking
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand design and construction documents
• Ability to work in a variety of circumstances (both in the office and the field) including but not limited to climbing ladders/scaffolds/high lift equipment, working on active construction sites
• Ability to use and operate various hand and power tools
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations
