Job summary

The Software group develops programming logic for BAS projects, and the Software Technician will lead software efforts on each project and mentor junior techs within the team. We seek candidates with hands-on BAS experience, the ability to work in both office and field settings, and the desire to grow within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or higher; engineering/technical degree a plus.
• 5+ years in Building Automation industry.
• Experience writing software for BAS projects.
• Niagara AX/N4 certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of BAS protocols (BACnet, LON, Modbus).
• Knowledge of ethernet networking.
• Ability to read and interpret design/construction documents.
• Work in both office and field environments.

Description

Control Solutions Inc. (CSI), a Crete United Company specializes in Building Automation and Temperature Controls and was founded in November of 2007. CSI has a wealth of experience and skills that earned a remarkable reputation as a leading controls solutions company.

The Software group is responsible for the development and implementation of the programming logic for building automation projects within the Controls division. The Software Technician will act as project lead for the Software efforts on each project that they are directly assigned or as a resource under the supervision of a senior software technician.

Software Technician will possess the knowledge, expertise, and ability to train and mentor junior techs within the Software group to support the growth and development of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• HS Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field is a plus
• Five or more years’ experience working within the Building Automation industry
• Mastery of all responsibilities expected of each previous Software Technician level (I, II)
• Experience of implementing building automation solutions and writing software code
• Niagara AX/N4 certification is a plus
• Knowledge of various BAS protocols (ie: BACnet, LONworks, Modbus, etc)
• Knowledge of ethernet networking
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand design and construction documents
• Ability to work in a variety of circumstances (both in the office and the field) including but not limited

to: climbing ladders/scaffolds/high lift equipment, working on active construction sites

• Ability to use and operate various hand and power tools
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations
