Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking an entry level Software Security Engineer I for an onsite role in Cedar Rapids. You will contribute to design, development, integration, and verification of embedded software solutions, working within an agile team on mission-critical projects.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and familiarity with C/C++, Rust, Python, and Linux, plus an interest in cryptography and secure software practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM field obtained by start date.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, coursework, or projects.
• Comfortable working with C, C++, Rust, Python and/or Linux.
• Some experience coding in an embedded environment.
• Security focused mindset.
• Familiar with multi-threaded and object oriented development.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a team developing new and innovative products for our customers’ mission.
• Tackle a wide range of complex and interesting problems.
• Develop skills with languages such as Rust, C++, and Python.
• Impact the team by implementing and testing software solutions.
